The Harwell Feast 2012

The Harwell Feast is an event that takes place every year near the end of May in my village. For the last 5 years we have been troubled with rain, but this year we were promised sun and high temperatures. The feast began with a parade at 11 ‘o’ clock, featuring old cars, steam engines, a band, and around 8 floats driven by tractors. A popular theme amongst the floats was the 2012 Olympics of course.

The feast itself was filled with stalls, car boot sales, food stands, an arena, and ride type things. All of which I was to old to go on. The arena featured acts such as dog competitions. Although I did not take many pictures, I couldn’t resist flicking back over some old photos and drawing from them.
